The Private Sector needs our support too

This CLP notes:

That in September 2020 the Office of National Statistics recorded 23% of employments was in the public sector, contrasting with 77% in the Private sector.

This CLP believes:

In  efficient and effective Public Services but recognises the answer to every economic and social issue cannot only be the spending of public funds.

Many of us rely on the Private Sector for jobs and services but it should be appropriately regulated and operate within an a socially responsible and legal framework.

The Labour party  should both regulate and  assist the Private Sector without  weakening it. Focus on Private Sector efficiency and effectiveness, without constraining innovation. To deal fairly with Consumers and Employers. To allow the Private Sector a fair reward which does not exploit others.

This CLP resolves:

That the  CLP send this Motion to the Bexley Labour Group to support and develop local businesses in Bexley.

That the CLP will organise at least one Members’ Meeting a year whose theme shall be supporting local business. To include speakers and debate on this important area for the local economy.
