Ordinary motion

‘EHRC investigation into the Labour Party’

This CLP notes:

That the Equality and Human Rights Commission has launched a full statutory investigation into the Labour Party for ‘unlawful discrimination’ against Jews, the second party after the BNP to be investigated.

That Jewish Labour Movement raised concerns about antisemitism in the Labour Party and the flaws in the complaints system.

This CLP resolves:

That the CLP, on behalf of its members, publish a statement supporting members who have experienced antisemitism and/or have submitted to the EHRC as a victim/third party.

For the Chair to write to the General Secretary requesting the Labour Party submission to the EHRC be made public.
